What are the requirements to become a pornstar in the UK?

You need to be 18 or over, hold valid photo ID, and be willing to have that ID checked before you shoot. That is the whole list. There is no height, size, look or experience requirement, for a porn actor or a porn actress alike, and you do not need an agent, a portfolio or any contacts in the industry.

The age rule comes from the law. Under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 anyone under 18 is a child for the purposes of indecent images, which is why every legitimate producer records your ID before filming and why we verify you before your first booking rather than after. Performers work as self-employed contractors: you are paid your agreed scene rate directly by the producer, and registering as a sole trader with HMRC is your responsibility once you start earning.
